The key isn't to have KG, Ray, and Paul play 40 minutes a game and carry the load...

It's to have Rondo play 40 minutes, to have him step in as the future leader of this team.

We've all seen how well Rondo sees the court, and how well he can pick apart his defender if he's aggressive. Let Rondo run the second unit and just give 8 minutes a night to either Pruitt or Hudson (maybe switch off until one steps up)

Picture driving in and kicking to either House or Sheed, picture the other team being afraid of playing their backup PG becuase Rondo will just pick him apart.

If Giddens earnes a role you could run a lineup of:

House, Rondo, Giddens, Scal, Sheed. (with Giddens and Rondo crashing in on the boards of course)

It's time for Rondo to start carrying this load. You wanna be a max contract player, come in and earn it.

Prove that you aren't a fluke, that your not just playing good cause of Paul/Ray/KG. Show that THEIR playing better becuase of you.

1st key

Have a team deep enough that no one has to play more the 35 minutes a game.  Keep them as fresh as possible for a deep playoff run.  (even young guys like Rondo)

Maybe 35 minutes with stretches of a House/Ray backcourt. I'm just saying that the key is to have Rondo running the second unit like he runs the first one.

  • Rondo = Good
I agree that the key is we need a bench that is deep enough to play our starters no more than 35 mpg (maybe a bit more in Rondo's case and a few minutes less in KG's case).

To do that we need a bench that is not super turnover prone and can play defense well enough not to give up a significant lead.
