he is just a taller version of jason kapono. Can shoot well but is slow as heck. He has high school level defense capabilities

No. The only big in summer league who may pass as the 4th big is Sweetney if can can somehow lose 15-20 pounds before training camp.

seems like a less-nimble Lafrentz at this point. i'd like to see him defending actual NBA centers, though, to see if he's strong enough for that yet, since he seems not quick enough for power forwards.

How did you come to this conclusion?

The only thing Sweetney has been good at anytime recently is eating...

Fazekes intrigues me (not so much because of his play in 2 meaningless summer league games) but based on his play in college.  I dont think he will ever be starting material, but at the end of the bench, ok.

Well, Sweetney was also pretty good in college and had some good years in the NBA as well. He had a pretty good 2nd year getting 8.4 points/5.4 rebounds in 20 minutes. 3rd year wasn't bad either as he got 8.1/5.3 in 19.

He certainly has the talent and he is just 26. I thought he played pretty well in the 1st summer league game. He only had 3 points, but he I don't put too much stock in that as he didn't have the ball much and wasn't trying to pad the stats. But played an efficient game getting 5 boards/2 blocks/2 steals/2 assists/1-1 shooting in 15 minutes. He made the right passes and knew where to be IMO.

If he drops 15-20 pounds he'll be at Big Baby weight and he might be able to make similar contributions. I want to see some more of him in summer league (hopefully he gets healthy), but I think he could be a good signing to a non-guaranteed contract and then telling him to show up to training camp 15-20 pounds lighter or he's not making the team.

Sweetney needs to drop about 50 pounds...

Although, if the Pats are looking for a replacement for Wilfork, I know who they should call

No to Fazekas, he's awful on defense even if he shoots well.  Not an NBA player.

None of the bigs on our summer league roster are particularly compelling but Swift got some blocks today...that's something at least.
