I agree. I don't think there is any way Portland would ever do this.

what does portland have too much of -- do they really need roy, batum, rudy, hedu, outlaw and webster on the same team? and what does portland need? rebounding, toughness and defense.

Can this thread just be locked now? Waste of 30 seconds. Why? I figured at least an expansion on the trade would be in here.  LOCK IT UP

Maybe Outlaw for BBD straight up?

It just seems that would be the ticket to secure the PG that they need rather than a backup big man.

Well if Memphis had drafted a pg, I would have suggested a three way with Conley, Outlaw, and Baby, but no dice now.

this is the best BBD sign and trade deal I've seen.  Makes a ton of sense for both teams and it's infinitely better than those ridiculous outlaw for scal and pruitt deals.

BBD is the perfect back up PF for that team and they have the money to make it work.  Rayray4mvp is right too, they have a major glut on the wing once Hedo gets signed.

maybe it's not both players, but portland would have to give up more than just outlaw OR rudy.

Why are we trying to trade BBD?  We need another big besides Sheed and BBD is it.  I'd rather try to trade our expirings at the deadline for a player of need.

Why? I'd rather have Outlaw or Rudy than Davis, particularly if we sign Wallace. I'm not saying you're necessarily wrong, I just wonder why you think they'd have to include more.
Go Celtics.
