This is my list of guys that I would take.
Lee, Varejao, Odom, BBD, Birdman, Sheed, Grant Hill, Ariza, Gooden, Wilcox, Bass & Charlie V.

I know the list has flaws like big $$$ Odom, Ariza, Gooden, Charlie
Medium $$$ Lee, BBD, Varejao

How many of these guys would want to come off the bench?
And sign for less $$$ to play with the Celts.

I would go after Sheed if the $$$ was low, but he is old and a hothead who would not start AND possibly play with Marbury? That could explode.

I would go after Birdman and lock up a cheap backup center, then try and get the power forward like Bass, BBD, Wilcox.
Maybe get Grant Hill for low $$$ later.

If we don't get Marbury, who will bring the ball up the court?
Giddens or Pruitt?

There are alot of deals/steals out there for cheap $$$ since this free agent class is dismal, but the Celtics have the luxury of filling out bench positions.
