The Rockets bought the #32 pick for $2.5 million. That's an option I would have been happy to see the Celtics take.

The Celtics would have gotten good value for their money if they landed Blair with that pick.

Quite simply this roster is desperate need of sure things on the bench and can't afford anymore gambles.  A late first round is a gamble in terms of production, particularly for next year.

They bought their pick last year in a better draft...Bill Walker...didn't even sniff the rotation...in this year's draft it would have been money down the toilet.
