Why do people think McDyess is coming to Boston?

I am having a hard time rembering, so please correct me if I am wrong, but when McDyess was traded and the bought out, didn't he specificly say that he did not want to play for the Celtics and only wanted to play for Detroit? Because I thought there were a few hopes of us getting McDyess last season when we heard he was getting bought out, but that never panned out. So my question is, does anyone know if he still feels this way or not? Because from when he was bought out, it seemed as if he would never want to play in Boston so I am wondering why everyone is putting their faith in McDyess coming to Boston this season

I only recall McDyess refusing to play for the Nuggets as opposed to the Celtics. I"m pretty sure he just wanted to remain in Detroit.
