I was reading the complete trade ideas section in the forum and I wondered about the business relationships of Danny with the rest of the teams. I think it's quite important to also reflect on this in order to consider one of the zillion trade ideas that we may be able to think about. Some things I have considered:

- It wouldn't be logical we can work with other contenders, because we would be basically be helping each other out in the quest for a ring. Therefore, a trade with Orlando, Lakers, Cleveland, San Antonio...would be unlikely

- We often have had transactions with Phoenix (Danny coached and played there). Also the Suns seem to be dismantling their team, so it's quite obvious that it could be a team we could trade with. That's why I thought the Amare trade had legs.

- I wonder about the trading situation with teams like Minnesotta or Memphis. In the case of the Wolves, now that McHale is out of there I don't know if this increases chances of working again (Kevin was ripped after making the KG trade, though he got our Big AL in return and capable guys like Gomes). As for the Grizzlies, having Chris Wallace is maybe a guarantee that we have lots of contacts with this team. That's why the rumoured trade of Perk and Walker for their draft pick and fillers made sense.

- A lot of people mentioned Portland and their expiring contracts as a potential objective (Outlaw, Rodriguez...). I wonder how's the situation between both teams after the Telfair trade and the Darius Miles situation later.

- We have worked recent trades with Sacramento (Danny also played for them). Nocioni was targeted and now their draft pick is quite tempting as well. I wonder if something is on the way with both Nocioni and the pick included.

- Danny worked with Dumars in Detroit in that 3 team transaction that landed them Rasheed. I wonder if Joe and Danny still have contacts after that.

- Washington and Boston I believe also have a history of trades. Now, Sam Cassell works for them, and there are some more connections between those teams. Thus, the rumour of Allen to the Wizards for some expiring contracts and that #5 pick also make sense in this regard.

- We also traded with Miami years ago (Walker sign and trade). Someone mentioned a wild and unrealistic rumour with Wade included. Maybe another trade for other pieces could be had, but then again, i wonder if these teams get along.

I have finally arrived to the conclusion that the most discussed and substantiated rumours we've had in the last weeks are made with teams we often trade to, or teams we have discussed in the past. Would it make sense to create trade ideas with others? How likely are the trades to finally happen if we consider that there is certain past collaboration between these franchises and how more likely these rumours become?

I Don't think you can ever eliminate people to trade with. If a trade works for both teams, why wouldnt they pull the trigger. IMO past deals dont really effect current offseason happenings

Danny definitely seems to have some good working relationships, but I think he's open to pulling off trades with all teams.  I think he's made trades with something like 13 teams, with a few (Kings, Suns, Cavs, and others) he's pulled off multiple trades with.

Wasn't the Walker trade a 4-5 team deal? I know the Hornets were in it.

I would say the list begins with the Lakers and probably ends with the Lakers.
