Yay for passionate owners, huh?

Wow.

I can't say I'm surprised. The Warriors franchise is a joke. The way they let the Mullin/Nellie court intrigue play out so very publically was ridiculous. Just fire Mullin if you're going to let him go. Instead they play out the sham that he was still in charge of their decision making.

It made their offseason lack any direction and destroyed any chance they had of actually building anything on the last two years successes.

I split the topic because this is kinda a big deal over in warriors land...

Check out this from our SBnation brother blog Golden State of Mind

And this, a more [dang]ing piece from Warriorsworld.net

So why is someone from Warriors HQ posting anonymously a problem? Because aside from the surprise of it being Ridder himself, it effectively violates our trust and it insults our intelligence. This may sound funny considering most of us are known only by our usernames, but it's true. There are some people who genuinely believe the Warriors are on the right path to getting better again, even though the consensus is they had a good thing going and blew it up for no good reason. Skepticism ran high during the STH call with Rowell and Riley, presided over by Bob Fitzgerald, who many see as a shameless homer for the Warriors. It was viewed as just another PR stunt to get people to renew season tickets. Get the STH involved, make them feel like their voices and concerns are being heard, assure them all will be well. Just hit *0 on your phones and renew! If the Warriors had managed to move up in the draft lottery, imagine the focus that would've been placed on that.

Some people from Warriorsworld were on the call and scoffed at how few tough questions were asked. Some questions came off as plants. Others were lobbed up there like alley oops for Rowell, Riley and Fitzgerald to slam home. When it was over, Flunkster Dude made the now-famous (or infamous) post, it was checked, and the truth was learned. Again, little did we know at the time it was Ridder himself.

like that is always lethal." - Evan 'The God' Turner

Aghghah I am shivering at the thought of what this team would be like with that Gaston doof still in charge gahhhh. Once again, we are a pretty lucky franchise.

All hail the mighty Wyc and his round table of obscenely rich guys, HUZZZAH! Deep pockets, but not an excessive meddler with Danny's choices, and sensible enough on the business side to keep from overspending the franchise into a Knicks like oblivion. Yeah, we got pretty lucky with that group coming in when they did.

don nelson is the biggest jerk i've ever met as far as former athletes. i went to his bball camp as a kid for two years for 2 weeks each time. rude to kids, staff, lied to sarunas marciliunis into bringing the best lithuanain youths to the camp telling them it was a five star camp and they'd be playing against the best u.s. high schoolers.(it's just a regular bball camp that anyone can go to.)sarunas caused a scemne swearing at him and calling him a liar in front of the whole camp.MANY people enjoyed it. a member of my team was on the squad that played vs. the original dream team and i'm no great baller.it was a joke.
all nelson did is brag about him coaching the dream team. the dude BRAGGED about it.then chuck daly got the job.lol. nelson sucks.they just need to rid themelves of nellie.
