To never see Doc match up with a Chicago lineup of one big and four smalls ( Noah, Salmons, Heinrich, Gordon and Rose ) with a lineup that inlcudes Perk and Baby, with Baby trying to stay in front of Salmons, who Pierce has a hard time staying in front of for God's sake.

How can Dopc play that match up?

If they're going four smalls, we've got to go four smalls.

I suspect he went that way for offense for a time, since the size advantage was working.

The reality of trying to play without a bench is going to begat some odd matchups for a few possessions. Doc's going to have to mix and match his head off, and do some fairly unconventional things, to keep this season going.

Yeah, I hear that. I just see that defensive match up for Baby and cringe...

The Cs have the adv when they have the ball. It all evens out. Plus, the small options weren't very good.

Especially when the Celtics only have two servicible big men! Chicago gives Boston a chance to rest one of them, and Doc does not take advantage. One of the great coaching mysteries of the 2009 playoffs.
"All I have to know is, he's my coach, and I follow his lead. He didn't have to say anything in here this week. We all knew what we had to do. He's a big part of our family, and we're like his extended family. And we did what good families do when one of their own is affected." - Teddy Bruschi

Here's my one wish: to see Marbury get it figured out and play the way we expected him to play.
Celtics fan for life.
