"He picked us," Artest told The Carmichael Dave show on KHTK.
The host fired back with: "No, he didn't. He picked the Lakers."
"No, he didn't," Artest insisted. "Tracy didn't say that, you know, he didn't say that. He didn't say that... I think that guy who said that wasn't Tracy, it was a look-alike. I just got a text, it was a look alike... He's got total confidence in us."
http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/58703/20090422/artest_doesnt_believe_t_mac_picked_la/ First off, not very cool of TMac to pick against his own team. First the bad knee/trade deadline thing, and now this. He is proving to be one of the most self absorbed players in this league. Get healthy for that contract year, Trac....

You've gotta love Artest here though. He has been nothing but positive since leaving Indy. Crazy, sure... but in a glass half full kind of way.
I really want to see him get a chance to go at the Lakers for 7 games, it'll be great entertainment. Between the Yao vs Bynum/Gasol matchup, Aaron Brooks' quickness at pg, and having both Battier & Artest to throw at Kobe; there are some matchups that Houston can exploit.
