"He picked us," Artest told The Carmichael Dave show on KHTK.

The host fired back with: "No, he didn't. He picked the Lakers."

"No, he didn't," Artest insisted. "Tracy didn't say that, you know, he didn't say that. He didn't say that... I think that guy who said that wasn't Tracy, it was a look-alike. I just got a text, it was a look alike... He's got total confidence in us."

First off, not very cool of TMac to pick against his own team.  First the bad knee/trade deadline thing, and now this.  He is proving to be one of the most self absorbed players in this league.  Get healthy for that contract year, Trac....    ::)

You've gotta love Artest here though.  He has been nothing but positive since leaving Indy.  Crazy, sure... but in a glass half full kind of way.

I really want to see him get a chance to go at the Lakers for 7 games, it'll be great entertainment.  Between the Yao vs Bynum/Gasol matchup, Aaron Brooks' quickness at pg, and having both Battier & Artest to throw at Kobe; there are some matchups that Houston can exploit.
