i liked steven a. smith before he was "somebody".  once he got all primetime and a big ego, he become more interested in making a name for himself and being "the show", rather than doing his actual job.  now he is just a loud, obnoxious, egomaniac, turd.

Smith is an idiot. I'll take David Aldridge as my NBA insider.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

I think I brought this up a looonnng time ago, but a long while back some guy named jackea Chan offered us free tickets to watch his show cause Paul pierce was the guest so I drove down to NYC and went.

He really kinda was a show. he was decent with the crowd. He did seem to be trying a little hard and putting out energy.

Both athletes Paul Pierce and Duece McCallister seemed to respond to him, but a little guarded.

I think he comes off better in person where he is more relaxed than on tv where he's trying to nail it and hit a certain persona

ESPN must believe Jamele Hill can raise her  game even more and pick up the racist incoherent spitting foolishness schtick slack that steven i smith leaves behind.  Or maybe they have another brilliant room-temperature basketball IQ mind in training to replace smith.

When steven predicted yesterday that we would sweep a non-competitive series I knew we were in trouble.  Based on the normal accuracy of steven's predictions, we might get swept.
