I thought some one would have started this and I would just jump on but I'll start instead. :P

Celtics Chalk talk yesterday with JoJo, Max, Heinson, Steve Pagliuca and Dana Barros.  Dickerson hosted. Some key points:

1. Tony Allen only expected to be a key defensive stopper only. His O is purely additional.
2. JoJo and Tommy both wish they could have played with Rondo.  They thought their teams would have been ever greater.
3. New mascot expected next year.
4. Concern about league wide economics next year.
5. Little talk of new acquisitions for next year in trade or FA. The core is here they say.
6. Marbury is a good fit in that he keeps the same tempo as Rondo. As opposed to Cassell who brought the offense to a standstill. Same rhythm for 48 mins is a huge plus says Tommy.

I will post more as I rememeber. Hopefully some others that were there can add to this.  Got a photo with the championship trophy!!  :D :D

Woah woah woah. Woah woah woah. New mascot? I don't know the history of the new mascot but I've already had to put up with hoes, I mean dancers. Now they're throwing me this?

The new mascot is probably just a different guy dressed as a leprachaun. I this it should be Max dressed in scrubs.

The only other Irish things I can think of don't make lots of sense as mascots.

Potatos. A big glass of Guinness. An Irish flag. Bono

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
So quick story so I can ask a question.

I was watching season 3 of Deadwood (awesome, not the point), and during season three, there is a conflict involving Cornish immigrants. These people spoke another language, and I thought immediately of the "pluggers" from Gangs of NY.

So I called me mum (grow up? You grow up.), who got her masters in anthropology.

And I asked, who are the Cornish, what do they speak? She says, well they're from Cornwall England, and they are probably emulating picts.

So I said whats a pict? She says well you know, Celts (The hard K kind). So I said "The Celts aren't from Ireland?"

What do we even know about what a "Celtic" person is?

"You've gotta respect a 15-percent 3-point shooter. A guy
like that is always lethal." - Evan 'The God' Turner
