I am looking to buy a new pair of basketball shoes in the near future. I need very good ankle support, good traction and hopefully light.

I play both on the wing and in the post (usually on D), so just wondering if these shoes are ok for that? (obviously there will be no problem playing on the wing with these shoes, but I mean down low).

Also, any other basketball shoes recommendations for me?

Thanks heaps!
Anything is possible!!!

Shoes are not important, and sorry but I couldn't help but I laught reading you post. Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 in All-Stars.
I own Zoom Kobe III Black Panther, and before those I had Air Force 25, and I have no complaints about any of them.

I usually play in these, it's really intimidating for the guy defending me because they give me about an extra 4 inches of height. Excellent ankle support, I can't tell you how many times I have dunked from the foul line in these and felt like I was landing on pillows, plus let's be honest they look cool as hell.

I have never tried those but I can tell you that the Jordan XIVs are a great shoe.  That's what I play in now and they are the best shoe I've owned.  And they're a little cheaper that the CP3s

Hey kw10. I have the CP3's and I have to say I couldn't have asked for a better shoe. I also needed a little extra ankle support because I over pronate and I've had knee reconstructive surgery (woo basketball haha, had to replace the ACL, MCL and repair the meniscus) but I got them right after I was cleared to start playing ball again and they are great. They're light weight too which helps a lot. I hope my input has been helpful!
CB Draft - New York Knicks
PG: George Hill / Nate Robinson
SG: Dwyane Wade / Gerald Henderson / Christian Eyenga
SF:  Grant Hill / Paul George / Earl Clark
PF:  Kenyon Martin / Jordan Hill / (Earl Clark)
C:   Greg Oden / Kurt Thomas / Hilton Armstong

One bit of advice...if youre buying a signature shoe...at LEAST 20 percent of what youre paying is for whatever NIKE payed CP to put his name on the shoe. With that in mind I usually go for shoes that feel great on my feet that are on sale. As soon as kicks become less marketable, they go down in price regardless of performance on the court. I would reccommend going to a Nike or Adidas outlet store (if theres one nearby) and trying on what they have available. The absolute BEST bball shoes I have ever bought has been a pair of Nike Haurache's that I found on sale at an outlet for 30 bucks...
