If KG is able to go come playoff time (Just knocked on wood for 5 minutes), do you think he'll be on the bench or will he be watching from home?

He won't watch from home, or he'll have no home if the Celtics don't win it all.  :)

Yeah that's what I was thinking.  I think he'll be on the bench so he can bring his intensity even though he won't be out there.

I am not a knocking on wood expert, but I do believe that one would be more apt to knock on wood if one were to say "If KG IS able to go come playoff time..." --  thus, the wood knocking would assure that the good outcome will occur.  After stating a negative outcome, I believe one should follow with something like "perish the thought" or "god forbid".

Therefore, I believe it is imperative that you quickly somehow take back your wood-knocking as I believe you may have just made it more likely that KG will NOT be able to go come playoff time...perish the thought.

Dictionary.com: Knock on wood: Used when knocking on something wooden to assure continued good luck: The car's still in good shape, knock on wood.

Sorry about that NG. Just changed my original post to fit the definition of knocking on wood.

Hopefully the basketball gods won't punish me for my mistake.

Oh, and to add something of actual value to the thread, I do think KG will be on the bench -- and quite active -- if the worst case scenario should unfold.

I would be very surprised to see KG on the bench.  He has said in interviews that he is no good sitting, because he gets too worked up and becomes a distraction. Doc has even said that he is not a fan of players in suits on his bench. KG has not been watching games from home.  When the team plays at the Garden, KG is watching in the locker room.  He's there to contribute at halftime, and I think the team feels his presence.  The thing I wonder about is if he will travel with the team if he can't pay.

KG has always watched from home or the locker room during the regular season. Everyone knows that. But I think it will be a different story come playoff time. KG won't leave his team like that. He cares about his teammates too much. "Its about us!" remember? If he is too hurt to play in the playoffs he'll be screaming from the sidelines the entire game.

I hope he watches from the bench.
For Garden games he'll be able to
at least fire the crowd, and thus
the team, up!!!

I was just thinking of that, and simply, I'm afraid that he will effect the team in a bad way, just like he has in the past when coming back from an injury. It took Celtics like 4-5 games to get a grip, and in the playoffs you don't get that luxury.
If he comes back the last three games, and I mean that he really comes back ready, then we will be ok, but if he returns in the 2rd or I believe that we will have a problem.
