I'm not the biggest Jay Leno fan but I usually find that nothing is good on at 10pm. Do people actually watch local news? I know I will never watch 7 news again because of this. Link doesn't work

They don't have to pull either. Why can't they just air one on their HD1 channel, and the other on HD2? They both come free over-the-air.Problem solved. That won't fly with NBC... This move is a slap in the face to the network. NBC has already said they'll strip the NBC affiliation from WHDH if this happens. Goodbye office, 30 rock, etc. until the new station comes alongIt'd be interesting to see what over the air station would get the NBC affiliation. TV38 is owned by WBZ which is the local CBS affiliate so you can count that out and I think Channel 56 is owned by WHDH so that would obviously be out.I wonder if 38 would be an option. I don't know if there are any rules that one company can't own affiliates of multiple networks (for example, WHDH owns an NBC and CW affiliate). But I also think this could open up an opportunity for someone new to step in, and start a new over the air station in the Boston Market.

Why would they want to broadcast just in the Boston Market? And which one? really limits their audience.
