The kid sure looks for real.  He has a nice smooth flow to his attack. I was surprised at his length. More importantly, I liked his attitude.  There were no glares/faces(ala Kobe or Brawn) at his teamamtes. He kept looking at his coach for coaching!  I watched him listen intently to the old vets at the end of the bench as they give the kid their advice. The real deal.

This guy has the potential to be the best player in the NBA even with LeBron at his peak. I maintain that.

I agree with you. Lebron will probably get all the media attention because he has sold his soul (image) but Durant has the scoring touch like no one else I have seen.  I think in the end, Lebron might be the best overall player, but Durant has the chance to be the best scorer in the NBA ever!  Also, remember, he's only 20.
Baby Jesus!

Yes I've been telling my friends this all year and they think I'm nuts. They're like who's Durant haha. Too bad he isn't on a bigger market team. But yea I think in 2 years, he is 2nd behind Lebron.

He'll never be close to LeBron, because LeBron defends and Durant doesn't.

Was LeBron this good at 20? Debatable. Did LeBron defend at 20? No.

Well one thing is for sure, he has sharper elbows than LeBron.

If a team like New York was really smart they'd sign LeBron one year and tell him to be patient for a year because they are going after Durant the next.

Is NY this smart? It would be my plan.

Lebron didn't defend his first few years either.  We can't predict how Durant will defend in 4 years.  But while I agree that Durant could become one of the greatest scorers and players we have ever seen, I don't think he'll ever be quite the all around player that Lebron is.  Lebron came into the league passing like Magic and Bird and Durant will never get to that level.  However I do believe Durant could average almost 35pts per game some day without forcing shots.

Durant will have the career that T-Mac lovers thought he'd have (meaning, he'll win a playoff series someday).   ;D
