We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
We world champion Boston celtics

Some basketball quotes

I'm not sure about the exact words but Bill Russell once said:

If you could bottle up all the emotions in a game 7, you would have enough hate to start a war...and enough joy to prevent one.

Not sure if this qualifies as a quote

Doug Collins once made a comment about Michael Jordan that always stuck with me. He said that MJ was the rarest kind of person..."a supremely talented overachiever"

Its one thing to be extremely talented but how many athletes actually overachieve beyond their greatness especially when you're so great that you have very little room for improvement. MJ and Jerry Rice come to mind

"A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty." - Winston Churchill

"Man's mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions" - Oliver Wendell Holmes

"There is frequently more to be learned from the unexpected questions of a child than the discourses of men." - John Locke

"We are not traitors or murderers or fanatics, but true Christians and good commonwealthsmen, fixed and constant in that noble principle of preferring the universality before particularity.  We fought for the public good and would have enfranchised the people and secured the welfare of the whole groaning creation, if the nation had not more delighted in servitude than in freedom." - John Cooke
