It didn't take long for T.O. to find a new home.

Terrell Owens has agreed to a one-year, $6.5 million deal with the Buffalo Bills, according to sources.

The Bills called a 6:15 p.m. news conference Saturday to announce the signing. According to a source, the entire contract is guaranteed.

I don't know what the heck the Bills were thinking here.  Was the market really so robust that they had to give this clown $6.5 million?  Do the Bills think that this makes them a playoff team?  Is T.O. really the best guy to bring in when you have a young QB?

Stupid, in my opinion.

Yes, this will be an interesting dynamic to watch play out...
The offense is potential pretty dynamic with M. Lynch running and TO receiving.
Celtics fan for life.

I'm actually a Bills fan and I am baffled by this. It does look like they are going for a dynamic offense. We were courting Lavaraneus Coles for a while. Marshawn Lynch is very, very good and is held back by the lack of a passing attack and a crap o line. I'd highly recommend to draft Marshawn in  your fantasy league if he's not suspended for the first 4 games for the gun possession thing.

The problem is that we have an offensive line that is pretty lame and a QB that has never come close to a good game in bad weather or against someone in our division. He has shown signs and will be more comfortable in our offensive scheme next year. (I can't count the number of times I have seen this excuse for average qb's) Our former pro bowler, Peters, came in after a holdout and was out of shape and never really caught up. We need to address O Line and D Line in the draft.

Does Owens know his QB is Trent Edwards?

Does Edwards have the number of a good shrink?

I think this could be a very good one-year move for the Bills.  Having watched TO over his 3 years with Dallas, I think he's capable of being productive while really opening up things for the rest of the offense.

Terrell was so good a citizen in year 1 in Dallas that I was hopeful for years 2 and 3.  Obviously Jerry Jones was too.  Maybe the Bills can repeat this and catch lightening in a bottle for a year.  I'd buy tickets to see the Moss v. Owens games!!!

I liked my friend Matt's take on it

Buffalo?  Buffalo’s a place you see because you have no choice when you check out  Niagara Falls.  “Hey look, we visited Buffalo too while we were at it!”  But the most volatile, and one of the best, wide receivers in the game ends up there.  Spiegel, why’d that sports thing happen?

It happened because not many teams wanted him.  He’s a chemistry disaster, who also is 35 and rising, with only slower, creakier times ahead.  The rest of his career will be filled with one-year contracts.  It happened because the 6 and a half million dollars is impressive enough on the face of it to make him and his agent feel like they can brag about the money.  And, it happened because the Buffalo Bills want to feel sexy.  “Don’t you want to kiss me now, NFL fans?  Aren’t we interesting and worth discussing?”  And they are.  The over/under on the number of Bills games in prime time next year is now set by me at 3, and before T.O., I put it at 1.  Here we are, talking Buffalo Bills football, in March.
