One year they almost traded Pierce for Chris Paul too.  Imagine that somehow changed the rest of the draft that year and the C's landed Granger in addition to Paul.  Then the next year they draft Roy and pick up Rondo in the Phx trade.  Then somehow won the lottery and got Oden or Durant.  Then last year they probably wouldn't have been in the lottery but not quite champs either.  Probably drafting around 20- taking either Courtney Lee or Darell Arthur.  I'd say Lee.  And they'd have two humongous expiring contracts.  Man, Danny really sucks, huh? ;)
