Seriously, I could make 7 points.  Even with the pressure on, I could manage that.  And in the finals???

As Barkley would say about people still living, "Larry Bird is rolling over in his grave."
The worst part about it was that it wasn't surprising at all to see the 7-point score from Lewis. If he had somehow won it, he would have been the first winner I've ever seen to win that competition without ever getting "hot". Cook wasn't great, but he was...I'll call it "simmering".

Eddie House - for THREEEEEEE!

I thought that contest needed heaps more Eddie.

Glad Ray and Eddie got a shoutout. Other than that it was nothing of a spectacle.

Nobody even broke 20... it was totally unimpressive.

Same thing with the skills challenge; guys were just going through the motions until Derrick Rose had the great dunk.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

I emailed the NBA asking how the 3-point contestants were chosen over a week ago and never recieved a responce.  So then I emailed the NBA and asked why House wasn't considerd and never recieved responce.  I guess the NBA just doesn't like to respond to fans questions.  They could have use House.  The contest was a joke.

i dont see why the premier shooters are not entered in this contest?

and why did dwights side backboard dunk get a 50?

and that nate was even aloud to jump of his team mates back? i mean theres 12 year olds doing that at school.

This was the worst Allstar Weekend ever.  Durant's 46 in the rookie challenge was the hilight.  Pretty boring skills challenge and 3point contest-nobody got hot.  And the dunk contest was infuriating how Howard was getting 50's for average dunks.

Agreed. Only I'd add Shaq dancing with the Jabbawokeez to the memorable moments. And Durant in the Horse competition.

Eddie house and Ray would have distoryed those 3point shooters, I bet they just wanted that Kapono guy to win 3 in a row.
"Sam Cassell was heckling on the sideline when I walked down, He looked at me and was like, ‘You're getting the ball, I know you're getting the ball!'
said Allen.

And did Cassell, a man of many words, have anything to say after that?

"No, I told him he needed to wear a tie."

in all seriousness, the d-leagues all star competitions were all better than the nba's (horse, 3pt, and dunk).  although i liked kryptonate a lot in the dunk

Yeah, I thought Horse was pretty cool to watch.  Watching Durant catch fire like that was pretty entertaining.

THANK YOU! I was saying the same thing... I was horribly disappointed like everyone else at the whole weekend. Daequan Cook? Really? The only highlight of the weekend for me was learning LeBron's going to do the dunk contest next year. Now we're getting somewhere.
"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."
