at the risk of pumping this up again, I read the article on this topic on the home page:
1. There is a team budget, no matter what. It is flexible for the right level of player at the right length of contract, but that's it - this isn't Yankee land. Boston is over the luxury tax and 1 MLE player is going to cost double the money - forget about two - you'd be spending 20-22 million to have two 5-6 million dollar players - those players better be HIGHLY productive.
this is similar to the point that i am making. that the contracts that are signed going over the cap would be the ones looked at as costing double.
this year, for instance, I think it is fair to think that when we resigned Eddie and TA, we could look at those contracts costing double the money....
