If that is "abusing" the refs, then what did Zen master do after game 2 was over at the press conference, or how about how he still claims the refs gave the Celts the calls in all the games? Edgar, not to be rude but if Liam used  a F-bomb or two I had to hold myself back from doing it as well, this fine is absurd.

Bring back the show!!!!

That's complete crap. I feel like we're getting all this bad attention because people are seeing us as the team that needs to be taken down a peg. Bad calls constantly against us and then fines if we mention it. Really it's just not good enough.

Automatic under this league.  Doc knew it when he said.  Makes me all the prouder of him when he did.

Refs are hardly held accountable for anything. Its sickening. If you speak out against it you gewt fined. Dictatorship if there ever was one.

A writer (I believe a NY writer) was interviewed in NBA TV and when talking about Doc's fine he said that Doc should be fined for not playing Eddie House in the overtime.  Sadly, I agree with him on this. :-\

it's worth it, him voicing disaproval will bring attention to it.

I still exist in the Red/Tommy/old school paranoia about the Cs relationship with the League. So whenever i hear anybody in the Cs organization criticizing the refs or league officials i cringe and think that it is only going to come back on us at a later date.

The good thing we have going is that i think Doc is generally respected and liked and PP, Ray and KG all seem to get along with the refs and have good dialogue with them during the course of games.

personally, i think that is actually a huge part of the game...talking to the refs about how it is being officiated as it happens....

I confess to verbally abusing my tv set.  Poorly officiated game.  It made no sense compared to how refs called the rest of the season.
"You're skating on pretty thin ice around here, McGee!"
"Sounds like the ice's problem."

2 for the Show!
GO CELTS!

The referees in the NBA should be fined for impersonating qualified basketball officials. The amount of big games that are decided by the referees in the NBA and not by the players on the court is stageringly higher in professional basketball than any other professional team sport on this planey. It is an embarassment of epic proportions and I can't wait for the day when Stern is gone and the next commissioner comes into power and does something about it.

Of course with our luck the next commissioner will be Michael Jordan and we all know how he feels about "Jordan Rules".

Any place I can contribute to help pay Rivers' fine?

I would have been ejected from that game. And I would have gotten my money's worth.

Maybe the league should consider the veracity of the claim before fining the team? This is pretty typical dictatorial behavior, if you think about it. When something's wrong, don't fix it. Just do your best to keep anyone from mentioning it.
