I fully expected after the game against the T-Wolves the other day to start seeing the "Big Baby needs to start and have KG come off the bench" threads making their way around Celticsblog. Heck, every time someone goes down and a bench player fills in admirably for them, suddenly that bench player needs to start and the starter needs to come off the bench.

Must say that I am very pleasantly surprised not to see this phenomenom continue but if BB has a big game playing big minutes and the KG flu lingers, I wonder if will will start seeing this ridiculous practice here at CB continue. It happened last year when Scal successfully replaced KG. It happened earlier this year when Scal filled in for Perk. It happened when Pruitt took over T Allen's spot in the rotation.

Let's hope that Davis has a huge game, the Celtics win and KG is back Thursday for LA. And then let's hope that Davis continues his inspired and improved play that we have seen for the last month from the bench and that everyone recognizes that off the bench is where BBD's minutes should continue to come from.

I think we can safely draw the line on KG for "bench him" topics.

But who knows...stranger things have happened
Yup

Well, Davis should start for a health KG until Scali come back.

Then Scali should start (though Davis can challenge Perk for the starting C spot)

You're missing the bigger picture. If an overweight pf can be moderately successful with KG out and the team can still hang on against a mid-level team for a win the resulting post isn't "start big baby", it's "bring back Antoine".

To be honest, Big Baby's crashing of the boards on the offensive end give him the clear advantage over KG. I think we should move KG for whatever we can get. He's old, weary and not what he was. ;D

Its pretty clear to me Scal/BBD should be our starting frontline  ::)
