Another reason I hate the Lakers is because that after beating us the ESPN/ABC Lakers' hype machine will now officially go into full effect once again.

It was shameful that ABC wouldn't show the horrendous non calls against the Lakers yesterday after they hacked the crap out of the Celtics underneath and yet the Celtics didn't go to the line until there was a minute left in the first half. All the announcers could talk about was the Lakers toughness inside ofthe paint. Lo and behold the halftime stats come out and the Celtics have a big advantage of points scored in the paint and yet only went to the line for one set of free throws.

Yet there's no mention about how the Laker could have visibly been knocking the Celtics around in the paint and yet almost never been called for a foul. I thought the whole thing comical.  How could a team go into the paint as often as the Celtics did yesterday in the first half, have so much contact created and not go to the line at all. Once in the first half is preposterous and I think it shameful that ABC refused to address the situation with video proof that the Celtics were getting jobbed.

i agree whole heartedly with this, however it is something the celts cant control.  fact is if they didnt turn the ball over so much and the bench actually showed up, we win, regardless of the poor officiating.  i guess that is one positive about the game, we played crappy and still had an opportunity to win.

I hate the fact they've been on 10 Christmas days in a row, can we have a Christmas without seeing those purple and gold sissy colors on the TV screens and all over the media?

that's true they do have 17 championships most of wich were won back in the 50/60's was it? when there was like 5 teams. but i didnt say the lakers had the most championships. i said they the the better franchise based on not just won championships but finals appearance, winning pct. playoff appearances ect. but boston does have the most championships for now. ;)
oops i forgot hope to see boston and L.A. in the finals again this year and hopefully L.A. adds another championship to make it a little closer on most championships ;D

The people who attend Lakers games.  No, not Lakers fans, those are different people.
