sometimes i hear kids talking about tommy, and they know that he was good, they know he has the championships, they know he's in the hall of fame, but they really don't understand how good he was.

He was a Hall of Famer player at the heart of one of the greatest dynasties in the history of professional sports.  He's way much more than just a homer announcer/old guy.
