MLB colluded against Barry Bonds!!

MLBPA says it has proof that MLB and it's owners colluded against Barry Bonds this year so that he wouldn't be signed by anyone. Considering another collusion case has already been determined to be triple demages apparently MLB likes writing out nine figure checks to the Barry Bonds Defense Fund.

I know that Bonds is Bonds, and that's not paying him a compliment, but I couldn't figure out how an AL team couldn't offer him millions to be a DH. Or why the Red Sox didn't DL Papi for the season and sign Bonds as his replacement.

This should only go to further enlarge the legacy that will be Barry Bonds in baseball lore.

As much as I dislike Bonds, I was glad when Clemens was finally revealed, and perjured himself just like Bonds.

Not really a surprise, there was no reason why he wasn't in the league this year. You just have to wonder where the notion of working together came from, a higher power perhaps? Say a... COMISSIONER!!!

My question is not why teams colluded against Barry Bonds. My question is why the MLBPA didn't join the party and do some of their own colluding.

I don't care what the MLB did to Bonds. He deserved it.

Perhaps teams competing for the playoffs did not want to deal with the distraction that would disrupt team chemistry and the teams not competing for the playoffs had no need to pay millions for a 1 year rent-a-slugger.  Hes not the greatest teammate, the media hates him, there are a ton of allegations and drama surrounding him.  I know if I was a GM I wouldnt have signed him regardless of other teams in the league.
