Wizards are definitely a little snake bitten. "Sir Dennis" Etan Thomas gets the center job.

(tp for anyone who gets the "Sir Dennis" reference)

Haywood is a massive loss for the Wizards

There's never been a larger need for Blatche to perform well. Great opportunity for him. How he responds decides how serious this will be

Another key is how soon Gilbert Arenas returns.

With injuries to Haywood and Webster at least we'll get to see how smart that CelticsblogGM of the Wizards was.  ;)

That is a bummer about Haywood though.

Bad luck, I really like Haywood.

Great opportunity for Blatche, as Who said. He looked impressive versus the Mavs a couple of days ago. I think there may be a bright side to this. And if Arenas and Brendan can indeed be back in 4 months, this may very well be a blessing in disguise.

These Wizards never catch a break... I think that franchise is cursed or something.

The only Sir Denis I know is the late Denis Thatcher.

Etan Thomas - heart condition, open heart surgery; Denis Thatcher - heart condition, open heart surgery? Nah...

Thomas is also a poet (I remember reading one of his poems, truly horrific) and a leftist/communist, I see the reference being about that. The title of one of his poems? ???

I forgot I threw that nugget out there last night.  The Sir Denis in question is Sir Denis Eton-Hogg of Spinal Tap fame!
