Maybe it's just me, but I think this site I just found is full of interesting stuff.  It contains all transactions including 10-day contracts, assistant coach hirings, etc.  For example:  Did you know that Tiny and the pick used to select Danny came in the same deal?  Or that ML was signed and cut by the C's earlier in his career?  Again, maybe its just me...  :)

10-17-2000 - Boston Celtics waive Michael Jordan

I looked into it, he goes by Michael-Hakim Jordan now, no relation - played at UPenn, never made it in the league - kinda funny though

NICE!!

How about this:  Moses Malone was traded for the pick that became Rick Robey:

Blazers — Traded Moses Malone to Braves for 1978 first round pick (#3-Rick Robey) on 1976-10-18

http://www.prosportstransactions.com/basketball/DraftTrades/1978.htm

Robey was traded for Moses and DJ in separate deals!

That Robey pick could have been Larry Bird, Moses Malone for Bird would have been an interesting trade.

Thanks 17iscoming! Great find indeed. If you put your head out the window and listen close, you just might be able to hear the sound of me flushing my free time down the toilet.

Celtics — Traded Eric Montross, 1996 first round pick (#9-Samaki Walker) to Mavericks for 1996 first round pick (#6-Antoine Walker), 1997 first round pick (#6-Ron Mercer) on 6/21/96.

Antoine was pick number six, picked just one ahead was ray allen by the t-wolves.

I remember that trade very clearly.  I expected it to go down in Celts history as a big one - Antoine AND Mercer.  Only Mercer never became what I though we would.  That guys was amazing at coming off a screen and nailing the jumper.
