6-6 and can light it up.

with wallace and richardson getting big minutes and adam morrison coming back, would charlotte move him?

he is signed for pretty cheap  27 over 6, with 5 year lewft.

we would have to give up powe or bigbaby (having both is a luxury anyway) and of course scals contract.

would they do it?

I'm not sure if we'd do it. I think bobcats would love to get rid of him. I think he is way overpaid IMO. Scal's contract will be valuble in a year from now.

Overpaid and one-dimensional. Carroll has miles to go before ever coming close to earning that contract.

Oh and Tony Allen is a better player so it's a downgrade for the team.

So we don't want to give Posey 4 years, or even 3 (Ainge originally wanted to stick to 2), but you think he'd be willing to take on Carroll's contract at almost $5mil per for the next 5 seasons?  The guy's a great shooter, but he's overpaid.  If Ainge is trying to gain some flexibility in the coming years, that won't help much.

I don't see Danny doing anything where he's taking on a lot of contract years.  He wasn't willing to go out more than a couple of years with Pose, he's not going out five years for some like Carroll.  Danny seems to be positioning the team in such a way where if there is a big falloff in the next few years because of age or complacency or whatever, he can rebuild very quickly.  Future flexibility seems to be a major goal.

what about rasual butler?  not as good of a shooter, but similar 3pt% to posey.  6'7" and pretty good defense.

scal and a 2nd rounder + cash?

Not worth it. I'd do it for scal straight up, but not for scal plus cash and 2nd round pick. 2nd round picks are pretty valuable these days. We can grab players that are just as good as butler if not better in 2nd round... Guys like Bill Walker..
