What makes this year special for the Celtics, is the fact that they were one of the worst teams the year before. And also, each of the players complement each other perfectly. Not to mention, the system that they are playing for. Doc Rivers, not known for Xs aand Os, has to play with excellent offensive machines, making this flaw hidden and amplifying his strenght as a motivator. Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen, each has a diverse game from each other. Garnett scores mostly from the inside, Allen, from the outside, and Pierce, through slashing and shooting from everywhere. Garnett's weakness is that he lacks scoring assertiveness in the clutch, well this time he got Pierce and Allen. Another, is that he seems to be content on playing in the high post, well, this time he is paired with Perkins who is a stud inside and does not need plays set up for him to score. Then, we got Rondo, who is a pure ball distributor. His lack of shooting is compensated with Pierce and Allen.

"Another win in LA"
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

Not to take away from another much deserved win, but the Celts really didn't have any crazy competition for the award. I mean their win actually effected most of everyone by bringing Celtics fans together from new to old. They deserved another trophy to add to the collection.
Can't stop, Rondo!
