Is Uggla having the worst game in all-star history?  My guess would be yes.

Three errors, three strikeouts, and a double play hit into (with a man on third).

This is the problem with having every single pitcher only going one inning. You don't need to get everyone in so it's best to save them in case of extra innings.

True.  There's no reason to blow through 12 pitchers in a game.  Francona especially messed up with his managing the pitching staff.  I mean, Roy Halladay was pulled after nine pitches?  Joe Nathan threw eight pitches, Francisco Rodriquez had eight.  I know you don't want to pitch the relievers more than one inning, but in the future, I guess that means bring more starters.

Cool, I guess I will be at WS gm 1 yet again :)  I think there should be pitcher "alternates" available just in case. if we had forfeited b/c of Kazmir, that would have been awful. Agree that you shouldn't blow through pitchers, but no one can plan well for 15 innings, in an all star game where you want to get guys in too.

JD should of had the game winning hit earlier. The umps blew that SB call. Congrats on the MVP JD Drew. Ray Allen hould of been the NBA all star mvp too. People can't hold Boston down!

Nice one JD, send that rat trap yankee stadium out in style, with a Red Sox player being the Most Valuable Player on the field.

I was curious to see what Terry would have done if the game continued. I can't see him really forfeiting the game to keep Kazmir under 50 pitches or whatever the ridiculously low pitch count was set at. Joe Suck and Tim "El Stupido Maximo" McCarver can speculate all they want but to forfeit a game is a big deal, and I doubt that he would have made that decision so quickly.

Good point.  Can't see any real hardware going to Yankee Stadium this year, and having the All Star MVP being a Red Sox, and the last trophy given there....I'm pretty happy with that.
We're the ones we've been waiting for.

You're not real confident that Joe Giradi wins Manager of the Year, huh?  :P

Yeah.  What does Bob Ryan have to say now. ;D
