The Brewers and the Cleveland Indians agreed in principle to a deal for the reigning AL Cy Young on Sunday, sources told ESPN's Buster Olney. The deal is contingent on paperwork being finished and the exchange of medical records.

Great news anytime a CY Yong pitcher is moved out of the AL. Even if he was batting practice in the post season.

Great deal for the Brewers considering the keep Gamel and Escobar.

Too bad, I was hoping the Rays would get him, he'd put up another 250 inning season and we would shell him in the playoffs again.

Also glad this doesn't look like another Colon deal, when the Indians sent out Bartolo and ended up with Grady Sizemore, Cliff Lee and Brandon Philips.
We're the ones we've been waiting for.

WOOHOO!!

As probably the only Brewer fan on this site, I can't tell you how stunned I am that the team finally, FINALLY got off their butts and did something to improve themselves.

So [dang]ed tired of seeing the talent leave and nothing but everyone's rejects coming in (Gagne anyone?).  Finally, an addition that makes a positive difference.  Hope this means Bush is finally out of the rotation and his automatic loss that he usually contributes.

Now if they can actually put a solid hitter at leadoff to generate some runs, that would be the step that'll get them into the playoffs.
