Does anyone else here not believe that KG was picked on by a bully at school?  I find that insane.

I bet the dude was thin as a toothpick for a long time. It is crazy to think about, but it could have happened.

Well lets just say he was picked on.....

Who's the King of the world now?

And.....for Kevin, if it is true, that's all that matters now.

I can definitely picture that... He is tall and thin. Kids will pick on you for any reason... Being a 6 foot and change skinny 7th grader is probably reason enough. I just hope that bully was watching last night!

Even if he wasn't picked on in high school (probably not) there's no saying he wasn't in Middle/Elementary School. (I find it probable that he was for several reasons which I won't get into)

If nothing else perhap it was a thinly veiled shot at the media and fanbase that always said he couldn't get the job done when it counted.  This wouldn't surprise me at all.

It probably was a metaphor. But it could be one with truth. It isn't a metaphor just because John Tomase said it was, he isn't exactly a source checker.

Correct.....it was a metaphor.

How did you conclude that?

He said at press conf. "all you who have never been bullied don't know how that feels, but you who have been, you know"

He grew up an extremely tall and skinny black guy in South Carolina.  You don't have to think too hard to figure out he may have been bullied growing up before High School at least.

Like I said, it could also be a thinly veiled shot at all of his critics in the media and parts of the fan base that said he was a player who couldn't win the big game or that he shrunk in big moments.

It is possible.  It would explain a lot about his personality -- in any case it was a great metaphor, really helps personify that inner driver Garnett feels.
Celtics fan for life.

I've never liked Scoop Jackson, and it was pretty funny to hear that question.  First, because he sounds way nerdier than I expected.  Secondly, he was basically just patting himself on the back. "HEY KG WE'RE FRIENDS RIGHT TELL ALL THESE PEOPLE WE'RE FRIENDS"
