The U.S.A. chant is weak.

I was going to work on a long response to this, but I'll leave it at just that.

It's weak.

yeah, what he said!

A lot has been made about the creativity of the Boston crowd (Magic talks about it, Breen has talked about it) --- I am confident that it'll be creative, not so confident that it will be clean.
I love my kids, call me a sap - it's true.

I'd chant M-V-P every time KG or PP went to the line, and maybe "second fiddle" for Kobe.

Given that people in LA were chanting "Faker" at PP, I would chant "Fakers" at the entire team, for the entire game.
God bless and good night!

TP.... I like that.  But, there won't be a 6th game.  Celtics have to win it in 5.

Pro-Celtics chants are far better than anti-opponent chants. I hate when people stop "Let's god Celtics" chants to boo the opposing team. Inspiring the home team should be the main goal.

Anti-opponent chants should be used to put the focus on opponents who are playing poorly, like Arenas in the first game of the season. Kobe chants in game 1 served this purpose.

Plus, it is fun to include some anti-opponent cheers. The USA chants are funny, but pretty stupid and embarrassing. What help could that chant possibly be? Is that supposed to bother an opponent? It just reflects poorly on us, making us look like ignorant fools.

I was, on the other hand, a fan of the "Pu***" chant against Atlanta. This was great for calling out players exaggerating fouls to get calls.

"No means no" was a brilliant chant. Clever, and offensive to the opponent, no doubt. I tried to start a "bunnies" chant in game 2 when Kobe started off shooting so poorly, but it didn't catch on. I agree that "Bed wetter" would be a great chant if there were to be a game 6.

The "bull****" chant is way overused, even on good calls. This chant needs to be reserved for actual bad calls. Otherwise, the crowd comes off as a bunch of know-nothing biased homers.

I mean if we chant U-S-A we mine as well just chant for Kobe, i think he's the only player on either team playing for USA this summer. And he is the captain no? Obviously the BEAT LA chants will break out all over the city and i'm a big fan of the 'NO means NO' chant. haha i hope that one picks up again. although i guess i actually hope this series doesn't come back to bosotn

I meant to put a qualifier in there that there was no offense intended to our international fans. It was just a funny way to antagonize people like Vujacic and Gasol. It’s just a joke.

I think we should prepare psychologically for a game 6. The Lakers are out for blood, and they aren't above playing dirty. Pierce's perfect-world scenario (winning a championship on Father's Day in his hometown) makes for a stupendous script and future movie, and I'm all for it! But Paul said it himself, Sunday's game is going to be even tougher to win than Thurday's. LA knows they can't win the series, but they can still save some pride by not losing at home, and I think they're gonna put their eggs in that basket. The Celtics HAD to win game 4 to preserve the lead. Does Boston want to win game 5 more than the Lakers NOT wanting to lose it? Stay tuned! But it wouldn't be so bad if the Celtics won in Boston, The Truth's real home.
I don't know the true meaning of why PP wants to win it all on Father's Day, but I have my suspicions. I'm sure most of you know that when Doc came here to coach he and PP mixed like oil and water. Over time they have developed a close relationship. I'm guessing here, but I think PP wants to win on Father's Day for Doc, who'se father died about a year ago. Doc and his father were very close and much of who Doc is is from his father. Doc gets very emotional when asked about his father. I think winning on Sunday will be PP's tribute to Doc. I really hope they do it.
