"I wore it because I had all these scratches on my arm from Rip," said Allen. "His nickname is appropriate."

TP for that.  I had been curious about that.  I'm also curious to see if he wears the sleeve in the Finals.

It says in the article

Quote
Allen said he plans to keep wearing a sleeve in the Finals.

"Yeah, I feel good with it," he said. "I'm not going to change anything up. When something works for you around here, you got to stay with it."

Whatever works. I don't think we can beat LA if Ray isn't shooting well...

And about the original quote, now I really don't like Rip. And I don't think Ray likes him either.

I thought he put it on originally because he had a cut on his arm.  Didn't that happen in the course of one of the games.  Anyway, I suppose the cut may have been caused by rip as well.

I hope he will, Ray starting to wear it basically coincided with him breaking his shooting slump.

LOL...Great to read the quote from Ray Ray in confirmation of what I originally posted in the game thread to the question when originally asked on here...

Most players commonly cut their nails so as not to scratch, whereas I suspect Rip sharpens and points his into virtual claws...lol
