If the celtics get behind at all, they're screwed.  They aren't a good comeback team and I hate that.

They might be clutch at times when there is a last second shot needed, but in terms of getting down big and fighting their way back...they'll fight there way back just enough that it's annoying and you scream "C'MON!"

We get down in any of these games remaining and we're done.

They have definitely been front runners in these playoffs.  They'll need a signature comeback win at some point in this tournament if they want to end up winning it.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

The team fell behind early in two of the Cleveland wins, didn't it?

Overall, the team is good at cutting into deficits, but isn't great at getting over the final hump.  I think the best thing to do is to stop falling down by double digits early.

Like I said in the gamethread:  When they go down 10 I feel like I should just turn it off and go do something else.
We're the ones we've been waiting for.

I think this team is very good at playing from behind. They do a great job of grinding the game away, keeping that score close and within shooting distance. Their defense allows them to get the stops they need to make runs. They do a very good job of making a few quick 6-0 or 8-2 type runs. They have so many different weapons from different areas of the court so they're difficult to fully shut down. A good scorer will always get a few good shots.

The one thing they do badly is recognition. They don't recognize what is working and they don't stick with it. That's the only thing limiting them. They have the same problem regularly when in the lead also.

The most frustrating thing is how "dumb" they play when they get down by 10 points.  Bad shot selection, lazy passes, leaving their feet with no idea what to do with the ball, being afraid to shoot wide-open shots.  They completely lose their poise when they are trailing. If they lose this series that will be the reason why.

I see two possibilities for this major problem.  One, our system does not do a very good job of getting the players easy shots, it's not efficient.  Either that, or the Big Three are not good at making clutch shots.  Maybe they have anxiety!  Who knows.  But there is definitely something that this team is lacking that championship teams have.

I'm not so much upset about losing, but about the awful offense.  The poor shooting and high turnover.  In other words, we didn't do a good job on the offensive end.  The playoffs isn't just about defense.  Teams that win it all have both.  As you can see tonight, defense can keep the game close, but it cannot catch you up and close out the game for you.  This is not an "explosive" team that we have.
