With Ray struggling with his offense all post season long, I think Doc needs to be quicker to insert Posey and play a little bigger. Let Ray come out and start. If he is on then stick with him. If he is not then Posey should come in. Slide PP to the 2 and Posey at the three. Posey is more effective guarding LeBron and PP would be a tough match-up for Wally. Posey is hitting better from the 3 anyway right now. You don't take away the starts, but you definitely pull some minutes if he's not on...

I'd bench Ray Allen and start Posey.

I'd also bench Perk and start Powe.

No way Pierce shouldn't start ... he's the leader, the Captain, and he's gonna have off nights like anyone. You can't slam the Truth by not starting him ... sorry, but that's just off. He's the heart of this team, he's the one who creates the drive, and the man who gets these boys pumpin' ... even KG looks to his brotha Pierce for leadership. No way ... Paul should be one of the LAST players on this team to sit. Posey's awesome, man ... but he's no Paul Pierce ... no way!

Right on EJ, TP. We need as much Posey as possible, he's been that good and consistent with his production all throughout the playoffs - home and away. We also need Ray Allen to snap out of his funk, and for better or worse the only way that's going to happen is by having him play his way out of it with the starters. Keep the starting lineup the same but make Posey the beneficiary of decreased minutes for Ray unless he's really making things happen out there.

Does anyone realise that when Ray is on the court he commands a huge amount of attention by the defending team?

Put Posey in and all of the sudden we eliminate any post game that could be had, enabling the Cavs to collapse on KG.

Although JPose has been stroking the 3ball well, this isnt an option.

the problem isn't more or less of posey, the problem is how the offense is run.

rondo needs to control games more. kg needs to make a bigger impact. if these 2 things happen then we'll be firing on all cylinders like earlier in the season.

TP to EJ. Well said. No need to bench Ray, but he's killing us right now(and it's not just this game).
Love Posey, and Leon too.
But Bass, don't even joke about benching PP. Don't want to give Doc any ideas, he might decide to start PJ Brown  ;)

Posey off the bench is huge for the Celtics.  It provides a fresh defender to throw at James.

I would not be against more play time for Posey.  Maybe 5 minutes.

Ever seen the SNL cow bell skit?

We need more cow bell, [dang it]!

And, yes, we need more posey.

One of the few Celtics who owns a pair.

I think rather than starting Posey, Thibodeau needs to "remind" Ray how to play defense. He's guarding Wally Scszerbiak for god's sake, it's really not asking to much to stay in front of him. Posey played Lebaby better in games 1 and 2, but I thought Paul was just as good last night. We need Posey coming in off the bench, as another guy that can help the C's continue to shut down Lebaby.

Contrary to what i agreed to last night,i feel that Posey is better served coming off the bench for us.I was a little upset right after the game(heat of the moment),and wanted 4 of the starters benched at that moment. After, getting settled today,im back on track, with Paul starting. However,Posey should get more minutes .Ray is the one,who i felt has the better opportunity of exploiting his man(Wally),however,it aint happening, yet.

although i agree that Posey is one of the most effective guys in this series right now, i don't agree that he should start.

i think the combo of him and Pierce on LeBron has been good for us. eventhough PP is stuggling on the offensive end right now, i think his defense is solid.

the adjustments i would still like to see are House and Big Baby instead of Sam and PJ.

this is not a slight against them. i just think that CLE wants to slow things down and House and Big Baby in our second unit would speed things up a little.

also, if we could get House hot from three-land (along with Posey) that could help combat Wally and DWest knocking down their three's..

i just think that those matchups would be better for us - especially on the road.

game 4 is a biggie for us and i think those not major adjustments might be just the spark plug we need.
