I cannot stand "The Czar" Mike Fratello. His comments on the game are unintelligent to me. I think Hubie Brown is okay in small doses. Too much Hubie Brown could really drive a man away from the game, or make someone turn on the mute button. The combo of MJ, JVG, and MB has been good. JVG really makes that trio bearable and at times entertaining and funny. I don't see what all the hate on Reggie Miller is all about. I don't think Miller is great at his job, but I don't think he is horrific either. I guess a lot of people expect more from a guy who has dedicated his whole life to the game.

I'm not sure what the sentiment is across the board here, but I really can't wait until we get another ABC game with Breen's crew or at least Marv on TNT.  Seems like we've had Stockton and Fratello quite a bit thus far in the playoffs, and for my part, Dick Stockton has been absolutely killing me.  Almost seems at times like were watching a different game.  Don't mind Fratello much -- I always like having a coach in the booth -- but ever since the "Tony Allen tremendous offensive player" comment in Game 5, I've been paying more careful attention to Stockton, and it's gotten me a bit frustrated.

As most know by now, I'm a big-time Breen booster (and much love to JVG, too), and I have no problems with Marv and Reg.  For those sticking with the national telecasts, who are your favorite announcing teams?

There's a HUGE difference between announcers and color-commentary (analysis) guys.

My favourite announcers:

Mike Gorman
Marv Albert

My favourite color-commentary guys:

Doug Collins
Mike "The Czar" Fratello
Mark Jackson
Hubie Brown

Everyone else is a class below these guys IMO...thoughts?

For my part, I love Marv Albert.  I think he is the best guy the NBA has and historically speaking, hes probably the best they've ever had.  I'm talkin nationally because Johnny Most and Chick Hearn may have been better.  I also like Mike Breen and while Stockton is probably not the most intelligent guy, there's something about his voice that is just made to by a play by play guy.

As far as color, I like Reggie and the Czar.  By far the worst is Mark Jackson.  I can't believe he is part of the leading crew that will do the finals.  He is terrible.  He tries to be funny but he really isn't and sometimes its painful to hear mumble along.  Worst thing is that he is very arrogant and thinks he knows everything.  I can't stand him.  JVG is not bad

Put Tommy and Dick Stockton back together, like in the 80s, on national games, and the Cs magic will come back.
