I can see them trading for a PG that fits into their Simons TPE and then trading White for a new TPE cutting more salary. You need two years under the tax to truly reset it is what they will tell us.

I do not understand the point of this.   White has a very clearly defined role on this team.  The only way to replace him like this is to give up every 1st round pick the Celtics are allowed to. 


More to the point, they don't need to.   They can keep White and use a large portion of the TPE and stay out of the tax while improving the team.
