Take Tatum out of that lineup and tell me you still feel spoiled because the odds are he does not play this year.

White/PP/JD
Simmons/Walsh/BS/HG
Brown/Hauser/Minott
Niange/Tillman
Queta/Garza/Williams

It is a big difference.

Yes, I still Completely Feel spoiled!!! I am just a different kind of person I guess. I lost my dad when I was 17, I am now 63. I remember my dad and his dad my grandfather loved the Celtics! That was the one thing we could all do together. I still remember my grandfather, saying you see that Havlicek, I love that kid. I got to enjoy the Celtics with my son and daughter.  Like I said in the beginning, this will be an off year, so what? You see, I would hate it if the Celtics won the title every year, it would get boring for me. We still have the Js, hopefully they both come back as good as ever. But, the Celtics are Like life, you don't always win! You don't always get what you want! But, if you are lucky, you live to fight another day.

That is a 32 win team. Lottery pick and a gap year.

Well you don't get Tatum's salary or roster spot opened so not much way around the injury. You just have to work with what you have and hope he returns in mid-February at 90%.

that may be generous.  the more I look at that roster, the less wins I see.  Brown and White can only carry the team so far.  The perimeter D would have to be absolutely stellar to avoid the chaos that would occur when guards drive past our perimeter.  Big men picking up quick fouls or the drivers dishing to their big men for dunks/layups when our bigs have to stop the drive.

it's going to be ugly.  Not that having Tatum would solve that problem but he's been the best rebounder on the team for years and now the C's will also be missing that second rebounder to help keep the other team off the glass.

Of course we are spoiled, We are fans of the Boston Celtics, the most successful and storied franchise in professional basketball.
Just like fans of the Yankees, Packers, Canadians, Notre Dame & Alabama Football, etc., etc.

I'm a Celtic fan since the 60's and quite happy to be spoiled.

BTW, the Celtics have also had the most misfortune, by far, of any other franchise in the NBA since the 1986 title.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

I don?t disagree with you, but I think it feels worse because it happened to Our team.
When I heard the news about Len Bias. I was early in my career, feeling on top of the world with such a great night before, we had just picked Bias, then later that morning I heard the news on the radio, it was and still is devastating. I worked with ESPN, over 30 years, we worked on more tragic features than I can count!
I am not trying to be Grimm, the world is not fair and often tragic.  2016 - Miami Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez died in a boating accident, so horrible. Munich Massacre at the 1972 Olympics, 2001 Dale Earnhardt, Lou Gehrig, The year I was born, the whole The 1961 U.S. Figure Skating team died in a plane crash. Obviously, I could sadly go on and on. So many people are upset that the Celtic didn't have a Dynasty with KG, PP, RA, but, they were only together 6 years only went to the finals twice! (1) NBA Title, But, they Got it done! I don't think that is a let down, compare that to the Lakers and the Logo. Jerry West Went to the finals 9 Times!! He only has 1 Finals Victory, 1. There are few teams that have had the success the Celtics have had. Sadly, as we saw last week in Texas, tragedy happens, it is Not just a part of sports, it is unfortunately a part of life.
