Not so sure - Giannis is a Top 3 player (in his prime). No guarantee Flagg ever becomes that. Plus, Giannis fits their timeline. AD and Kyrie arent getting any younger.

Pretty sure that wasn?t the motivation behind it. I?m going with: keeping the Lakers relevant after LeBron retires and making a ton of money for the league.

Kyrie/Flagg/Klay/Davis/Gafford with 6th man Lively.

They just became instant contenders in the West, I'd say top 3. If healthy, that team could win a chip or two. They can also flip that pick for Giannis, dang it.

But yeah, Adam Silver didn't want to lose one valuable NBA franchise for a casino so he got 'em what they needed.

Sad day - Cs go down to NY, Tatum hurt, Dallas gets Flagg, and Spurs once again get lucky.   Not a happy ending (apparently) to a season that began with lots hope and high expectations.

The NBA is partly rigged. This is just the latest of many examples proving that. Not everything is scripted, but the NBA definitely dictates certain things, and this one seems obvious.

Sorry but the notion of the NBA draft lottery being rigged is just conspiracy bs.

You could say it was rigged for multiple scenarios,

The Pelicans won the draft lottery, of course they would win, the NBA is making sure New Orleans is finally competitive. They always win the lottery! Look at them getting Zion and AD!

The 76ers won the draft lottery, of course they would win, the NBA wants them to win and to help Embiid!

The Spurs won the draft lottery, of course they would win, the NBA wants to help Wemby and the Spurs so it boosts international ratings!

The Bulls won the draft lottery, of course they would win, the NBA wants to keep the Bulls competitive because it is such an important team! Look how the NBA gave them D. Rose, it proves it is rigged!
