I'm a little worried Jaylen is doing a Marcus Smart in the sense that he played awesome defense (Smart 2022, Jaylen 2024) and then the following year is a shell of himself

Even Mazzulla looks irritated at him for his defense on some possessions

I don?t understand how a players defense can be inconsistent like that. Lack of focus?

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Good win.  Happy to see Tatum look more or less unaffected by the ankle.

Luke.

Another good road win against a weak but feisty opponent.

I feel pretty confident in playoff JB.  He knows what he?s got to do once the tournament starts.  Love that the midrange is coming back. Better passer this year than last.

He hasn't really looked right physically this year to me.  Just not as much quickness as he used to have.  Right now he has the problematic knee, but even before that, I felt that he was playing too heavy... muscle-bound.

I think he'd benefit from shedding some weight this off-season.  Would take some of the strain off of those knees long-term and would probably regain some of his old quickness too.

Interesting, the starters with Porzingis were -4 in 12.8 min.  The starters less Porzingis, with Kornet were +13 in about 7.6 min.  Kornet was the +/- beast in this game (+21 overall).  I am glad they gave Pritchard a night off.  And of course the management of Horford's minutes continues.  Didn't get to watch the game, doesn't sound like we played great (11 turnovers, 15 points conceded on turnovers), but got a win.  We got 23 second chance points to off set the turnovers.  Not sure we can count on that every night.

Celts had a size advantage in the front-court and they used it well. Lobs for Luke and low-post positioning for KP were both unstoppable.

Even tho I had no sound , it was really fun game .  Good coaching plan to use your pieces for the win.  Shout out to coach.
