Very good win, though I could have done without the desperate attempt at the 3-point record.
I'd like to see the record of championship teams on their opening night "ring ceremony" game.
While many of those teams have won, many have also lost and sometimes by big amounts.
I don't remember the last time I saw the title winners blow out the opponent the way Boston did tonite.

What a great start to the season. Tatum and Brown looked like men possessed. Let's go Celtics!

The scariest part of last night's game is that the bench shot 3-20 from 3. That won't happen again...

The highlight of this morning was someone getting community noted on Twitter by a 2008 Celticsblog thread.  Bravo everyone!

Always appreciated the beautiful simplicity of our banners compared with other franchise's flags. It's funny how the Lakers did not even put banners up for their Minny titles after the move to LA. Not, that is, until they got within shouting distance of the Celtics total. Of course, their first two championships were not NBA titles at all. Pro basketball was under a different name then (American Basketball League or something close to that).

I noticed a long time ago that the center basketball emblem on our championship banners did not match this supposed home/away criteria. The fact that the Celtics organization itself just kinda throws up their hands and says, "who knows" is weird. Obviously, different people at different times made a decision about that emblem color each season the Celts won. How did they decide the 2024 color ? Maybe they are now going to determine this by the actual location of the clinching game. I look forward to a 2025 banner to find the answer.

Wow.  16 years ago.

Major flashbacks there.  Talk about some real blasts from the past.  The whole CROTOR thing.  Bob Day (RIP), crownsy, zerophrase.  The whole idea that Jeff Twiss personally responded to the inquiry.

Wow.
