I feel fairly certain the C's will go forward with their new trifecta of Brown, Tatum and Zinger.
That's fine and makes some sense, and although I'm a big Smart fan I think the trade will be good for the C's.

My only concern remains PG.  If they love Davison and think he's ready then I'm less concerned, but I don't anything about Davison's timeline of development...  just know we will need a PG in case Brogdan or White goes down.  I also don't know the team's (and Joe's opinion of Pritchard).

I also think the C's could still bump things up in the leadership dept.  Meanwhile, Portland has to trade Dame or Scoot, one would think, not because Scoot's not ready to play, but because it's a combo that might not work (maybe Portland loves the idea of that duo in backcourt...I don't love it).

So this trade (not sure when post-draft trades are allowed):

would be 3 way with Blazers and Pistons.  Win now for Portland.  Gamble on future PG and stronger leadership for C's by getting Scoot.  Decent upgrade for Pistons getting Simons (perfect between Cunningham and Ausar Thompson.

Blazers get:  Brown, Isaiah Stewart, Pritchard and JD Davison, pick of some kind from Detroit, pick of some kind from Boston (probably Warriors first rounder, for Sharpe basically).

Pistons get:  A. Simons, N. Little, T. Watford

C's get:  Scoot H., B. Bogdanovic, S. Sharpe, Killian Hayes

C's roster:

Scoot, Brogdon, Hayes
White, Sharpe, Hayes
Tatum, Bogdanovic, Walsh, Hauser
Porzingis, Grant?
R. Williams, Horford, Kornet

He would have to go back to Detroit for us to get him from them. He's on the Jazz now
I'm bitter.

I really don’t think C’s are moving Brown this offseason and with Zinger in, I think this is our big 3 for the foreseeable. KP makes the JB/JT tandem work because he’s a legit offensive option at the big slot.

If C’s were to do any more trades, I could see them shoring up the team with significantly smaller moves. We could always use depth to spell our stars, and so having a serviceable wing would help a lot. Not even a 6 MOTY candidate-level back up. Just someone who can absorb minutes and not get badly outplayed by their bench counterpart.

White-Brown-Tatum-KP-Horford is great
Pritchard-Brogdon-Grant-TL as subs looks decent

It’s really the wing spot that is missing for me. And again, not looking for much. Someone at the Semi Ojeleye, or Romeo Langford level. I think Jordan Walsh could be that guy 3 years from now, but we need someone ready this year.

Does Rondo still have gas in the tank? How about him as a vet minimum guy with championship experience in a Udonis Haslem type of role?

I say he’s finish but could use him as a bench guy who would light a fire under these young guys
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

$5 million TPE - Joe Ingles?  Would be a solid backup to JT.  6'8" knock down shooter.

Also, what about old friends Justice Winslow or Stanley Johnson on a veteran minimum deal?  Both are only 27 years old somehow.  One of them would be nice to have as a defense/energy guy off the bench behind Brown.
