Demers signed with the Celtics on Thursday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.

Demers spent the entire 2021-22 campaign in the G League but will join the Celtics with just under a week remaining until the 2022-23 season. It wouldn't be surprising to see him wind up back in the G League once the regular season gets underway.

5' 10" former point guard

Career highlight: 1973-74 championship, Boston Celtics

Career lowlight: traded for a washing machine

“Wouldn’t be surprising to see him” in the G-League?  That’s the whole reason he was signed.  It would be surprising to see him on the bench for the preseason game tomorrow — he’ll have already been cut by then I bet.

Yeah, that’s the entire point, sign-and-cut.

The league just needs to create a true minor league and allow teams to sign players to minor league deals.

It’s my biggest hope for the next CBA.

Demers seems to have a similar game to Payton Pritchard...

I really wish there was a minor league for the NBA. Surprised there isn’t one.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Maybe they just need a backup guard in GLeague or doing an agent a favor?
