Play Curry like they did the last 3 quarters

Rebound, second shots were a killer in the 3rd

Bench Grant. I know many will disagree, but he’s done nothing to help, and I can’t stand watching him complain to the refs. Personally, I’d give his minutes to White and Pritchard.
Tatum can play the 4 if need be..

Of topic, but I thought Pritchard played great last night, especially on D. Unsung hero in a game full of heroes

Grant has been horrible since game 7 in the Bucks series. There were a few bright spots, but overwhelmingly disappointing since then. With that said, you can't just take a rotation player and give him DNPs when you're only playing 7 guys. That messes everything up.

Rebounding. Limit GS to one shot

No air space for their shooters

Continue to move the basketball on offense.

I’d want Williams playing on Draymond, not Wiggins. I thought we got burnt a couple of times because Rob ain’t as mobile as he usually is.

Our defence of Curry for the final 3 quarters was good. Keep that up - no drop coverages on the PnR, aggressive communicative switching, defending Draymond in his face so he can’t make easy passes, etc.

I’d like to see us generate some genuine low post looks for Tatum or Smart if they have Curry or Poole on them. Should theoretically be easy fouls

Many (if not most) of the open shots in the first half were breakdowns.  I expect those to occur less and less frequently, as we saw in the second half.  I see no reason to make any lineup changes.  Guys are playing well in their roles; no assurances that moving them will be better.

Obviously a drop defense is not the way to go.  I thought a switching was a little better but we're our bigs (particularly rob) will be cooked or played off the floor.  The bigs playing up on screens was the most effective approach last night.  It's the warriors that will have to adjust to us, not the other way around.

The #1 answer: limit turnovers. C’s are prone to brain farts (like the Warriors) and limiting turnovers gives your defense a chance to play in the half court. With that out of the way…

The problem with “get Tatum looks” is that he’s also the team’s best facilitator. I do think getting him in the post (because he can punish Curry and Poole down there) for some possessions is a good idea but I also don’t mind him having the Warriors scramble by playing PnR and driving the lane. I don’t wanna jinx it but this defense is so soft compared to Miami and Milwaukee.

However, limiting Curry is definitely the way to go. Curry can bury you with threes and passes. It’s a pick your poison kinda thing but I think letting Curry shoot floaters is probably the best answer. He’s elite at them (which is annoying) but twos hurt less than threes and kickouts to dead eye shooters.

Oh, also defensive rebounding. Gotta play with energy.

i said that from jump street. run them off the 3 line. make him hit midrange. if he gets too close al or tl should get blocks.
LET'S GO CELTICS!
