I was mulling over the idea of buying 4 seats for Game 6 on Stub Hub now, with the hope that demand will increase if it's a clincher, then I could potentially sell 2 of the seats for more and help defray the cost of the 2 I use. But, I don't know how well that would work after fees and what not. Or how much they'd really increase from now.
Risky move, but its just money. Assuming you're not retired, there's more money to be made.
I bought a 70" screen, drink beer that's not Bud Light at around $3-$4 per can, have my friends (and kids) over, and fast forward through commercials. I loved going to a Finals game vs the Lakers, but think that my new routine is a far superior way to watch the game. Going to the game is, overall, a better experience. Only if they win though....
Would I spend $5-10k to watch the Celtics beat GS in a clinching game. Maybe. Anything before a clinching game? Def. not.
I also wouldn't buy a $250k car, while others are willing to do so. Everyone has their own opinion of what "good value" is.
