A week ago we were still in shock after a devastating home loss to the Bucks.  14 point lead blown in the 4th in a must win 5th game in front of a raucous home crowd.  Immature team.  Still don’t know how to win.  Same old same old.  Bad habits resurfacing.  Have they learned nothing etc….Some on this site actually said they were “done watching this disgrace of a team”.

A week ago tonight, Tatum is a god.  Faced down the defending champs and two time MVP in an epic battle.  He has arrived as a super star.  This is the team we knew they were.

Game 7 Sunday.  Mission accomplished.  Dominance on the home court.  Relentless dog like effort wore down the Bucks.  No one can stop us.  Bring on the Warriors!

Tuesday  night, Game 1 vs Heat first half look at this free flowing team playing beautiful aggressive hoops.  No Al? No Marcus? No problem!

Third quarter.  Absolute disgrace .  Quitters!  Heads up their butts.  No excuses for missing two starters.  Inexcusable incompetence.  Butler is just too much an alpha dog.  Celts can’t handle getting smacked in the mouth.

Pre-game 2:  Al & Marcus are back, but that two timing, baby loving White is putting himself over the team.  How dare he?

Game 2 vs Heat.  How many championships is this team gonna win?  Look at all this young, home grown talent, signed for years to come!  Heat can’t handle our depth.  Butler is gonna wear down like Giannis.  He’s all the Heat have.  Even IF Lowry comes back they have no answers.  Pritchard was plus a freakin million!  Celts in 5! Bring on the Warriors.  Which Celtic do you like for the Bird trophy??

Bring on the next page in the story…enjoy the rollercoaster.

Go Celts!
Yup

I will ride this rollercoaster all the way to the 2022 NBA Championship--although my nerves are already a wreck.  8)

I was getting a little sour for about a half of a quarter last night. It’s so hard to keep remembering that the other team is out there trying to prevent the Celtics from winning!

Nice reminder of where we were after Game 5 -- that sleepless night... miserable, awful, historically abysmal loss.

The one thing I can say that is kind of an outlier to the rollercoaster is the steadiness -- just about ZERO panic -- after the Game 1 loss to Miami. Even before Smart and Horford were ruled out, folks here were half-expecting a loss.  We actually accepted it without negativity and without skies falling.  Instead of inspiring dread, most of the forum was expecting a strong response in Game 2 -- and once Al and Marcus were back -- there was a collective expectation of grabbing HCA.   It's true that there was about 5 minutes of uncertainty, but that vanished rather completely by the middle of the 2nd quarter.

The rollercoaster is at its max height right now with a confidence that's a little too high for me, but it's definitely quite a ride.

+1 to both. 36-year old, beaten-up Kyle Lowry still scares me, but these games are a lot of fun to watch.

It's been an Iron Gwazi type of week

Iron Gwazi is a new coaster at Busch Gardens Tampa that just opened and is the tallest, fastest, steepest hybrid coaster in the world. Yes, I have been on it. Yes, it's freaking amazing.

But not as amazing as this Celtics rollercoaster run.

Ooh I like that line.

Yeah, it's easy to forget that, at any point, any NBA team ever, is able to put up a fight, against any NBA team ever.

Game of runs!

It'll be an even bigger rollercoaster once the C's win the next 3 in a row  ;)
