Imagine thinking that the massive spending power of the Greek economy has any bearing on the calls Giannis gets. ::)

Greece has almost nothing to do with it. Giannis is as big around the globe as any NBA player in history given globalization and the expansion of NBA popularity internationally. Just like how LeBron got away with a ton because of his popularity, such it is for international darling Giannis.

Tempting to go with:
Tell me you're too young for the Dream Team without telling me you were too young for the Dream Team.

Tell me you're too young for Yao Ming without telling me you were too young for Yao Ming.

&c.

But in matter of fact there's no way for you to actually prove your statement, so it's irrelevant. American talent still dominates the NBA conversation outside of America.
"...unceasingly we are bombarded with pseudo-realities manufactured by very sophisticated people using very sophisticated electronic mechanisms. I do not distrust their motives; I distrust their power. They have a lot of it."

International revenues in the 2020s swamp international revenues in the 1990s and 2000s.

One would have to be blind or be a Bucks fan to not see all the BS calls that go Giannis’ way more often than not. Look at that replay challenge. No other player can commit 8-10 offensive fouls per game without fouling out, but Giannis consistently does it.

They don't much like Jokic. Don't think it is an international thing.

It is more of a freak athlete thing. Guys that put defenders in uncomfortable positions frequently and put the pressure on the referee to make a call.

See above.
