Great video by Thinking Basketball on youtube.

Really love this because it shows;

 - Ime's greatness
 - How hard our guys have been working
 - How much goes into stopping KD and Kyrie

Basically, we do a combination of blizting, double-teaming and collapsing. This takes so much defensive communication because so much of it is about help defense, recovering, and timing your help.

Honestly, it sounds so simple but it's such a team effort.

I can't stop thinking about our defense. It really looks like we've got certain matchups figured out to the point that, whilst teams can go on little runs, we don't ever have to be scared because we're simply playing the percentages.

Very curious what this is going to look like vs other teams.

Also, very curious what the next few years will look like, as normally (as per the podcast I posted the other day) offenses will adjust to the defense they're presented with. So, next year, someone might've figured us out.

But for now, Ime's a genious and this Celtics team is executing beautifully.

If we win the title, this defense may go down in history as the all-time best defense.

My immediate concern is not becoming the first NBA team to ever blow a 3-0 lead (it will happen someday just as it did in MLB in 2004, and numerous times in the NHL), so keep doing what we are doing and take away the Nets’ hopes because they’re not going to just let us take them.

Once we get past the Nets, assuming the Bulls do not pull off a miracle upset, we’ll be very concerned about managing Giannis and taking out the defending champs.

After that, we’re concerned about Embiid/Harden or Jimmy and The Heat. I strongly suspect we’re going to have a rivalry ECF against Philly. We can shutdown Harden but we better hope Timelord is healthy and can take care of Embiid.

If we make it to the NBA Finals, we’re probably looking at the Suns or Warriors. I like the way we matchup against either one. If we make it to the Finals healthy, I like our chances.

TP, That's a worthwhile video to watch and it reflects well on the Cs coaching.

Seems these links are pretty appreciated here :)

I'll post more.

I watch a fair bit of these, or at least listen to them during work and household chores.

Doubt Kyrie and KD can pull a Curt Schilling and grind their way out to a 4 straight.

So what adjustments should the Nets make? There's nothing they can do. Great defense is one of those absolute things. If you can switch and recover quickly, it works no matter who you are playing.  It just takes hard work to play defense like that.

They've definitely got work to do.

Bimmons could help heaps, but also having played together for a whole season (as opposed to the mess they currently are) means you get to grow together, as a team, and learn to trust eachother.

It wasn't THAT long ago that the C's were still an absolute mess.

Nets never had the consistency we've had.
